The Community

Creekside Commons was completed in 2007 and has grown into a friendly, cooperative intergenerational community of 36 households. Creekside owners run the community through consensus decision-making and volunteer labour, working on various teams, projects and social events.

Owners and renters benefit by being able to use a 3,500 sq. ft. Common House, which includes a large space for gatherings, yoga, dances, classes, and movie nights. There is also a meeting room, lounge, playroom, piano, two guest rooms and a well-stocked kitchen where shared meals are prepared.

The property includes common and personal vegetable gardens, greenhouses, children's play spaces, labyrinth, picnic areas, and boat storage. Creekside is an environmentally conscious community with extensive recycling and composting areas, and two electric vehicle charging stations.

There is also a 600 sq. ft. workshop with a quality selection of tools that are available for community use, and a small paint room plus art/craft room with pottery wheel.
